Head Boys & Girls Coach

I was born in Houston, but moved to the north DFW area after 

the third grade. I wrestled starting in seventh grade, and 

wrestled for Flower Mound Marcus High School for my High 

School career. During my time at Marcus HS I was a 4 year letter winner in Wrestling, Track & Field, and a 3 year letter winner in Football. After graduating, I attended Texas A&M University – Commerce on a dual scholarship for track and football. While at TAMU-Commerce I obtained a degree in Education with minors in psychology and Sports Management. 

I started my coaching adventure at Greenville HS, where I served as Defensive Line Coach. After a short year at Greenville, my family and I moved to Richmond, TX. In Richmond, I took on the challenge of taking over the Wrestling Program at Foster HS, while also coaching Defensive Line. We grew from less than 20 program wrestlers the first year, to by year 9, I had averaged 90+ athletes on the roster during my last 4 years. During my time at Foster HS, my program earned 7 District Team Championships, 1 Regional Runner Up team finish, and placed Top Ten as a Team at the State Championships 5 times. At the head of the program, I amassed 183 Dual Wins, 52 Individual District Champions, 134 Regional Qualifiers, 13 Individual Regional Champions, 37 State Qualifiers, 6 State Placers, 7 Individual State Champions, and 1 individual State Most Outstanding Wrestler. I was honored to receive 8 District Coach of the Year Awards and 1 Region Coach of the Year Award. 

I have been incredibly blessed to be married to my best friend Amanda for 18 years. You'll usually catch her mat side with her camera during all our meets! She has been as involved in wrestling as much as I have over the last 15 years as a team mom and wrestling mom for our kids. We have 3 phenomenal children: 2 girls and 1 boy (Riley 17, Reagan 14, Jeffery 9). All 3 are Conroe ISD students, with both our girls being Highlanders!

My family and I are very honored to be a part of this amazing Woodlands Community, and I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to work with the outstanding students and staff of TWHS!
